Kitty Bartholomew
Kitty Bartholomew is one of the most beloved hands-on interior design and decorating experts in the country. As host of HGTV's Kitty Bartholomew: You're Home, one of the network's longest running shows, she has spent the last 8 years sharing her expertise with her viewers. She is also well known for her six-year stint as the resident interior designer and decorating correspondent for ABC's Home Show, along with numerous appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Bartholomew is a much sought-after contributor to many popular decorating magazines and books. Her new book is Kitty Bartholomew's Decorating ABC's: Affordable, Beautiful and Comfortable Decor for Real People Living With Real Budgets, written with design journalist Kathy Price-Robinson and published by Rodale Books. Kitty's ABC's instructs and inspires homeowners to approach decorating their homes in creative rather than expensive ways. Each chapter is packed with first-person advice, examples, tips, helpful photos, hands-on projects, and answers to the lead Author’s most frequently asked questions. Chapter topics cover getting started, walls, ceilings and moldings, floors and patios, lighting, windows and doors, wood furniture, upholstered furniture, accessories, pulling the house together, exteriors, and flea-market shopping. The Orange County Register called the book's decorating style "Original. Creative. Colorful. Affordable." and said "Bartholomew covers every inch of her house with creativity." |
